Tempura paradise
I’ve been meaning to do a little guided tour of my favourite places for a while, but I still think I haven’t quite got enough just yet. Though, this might be a good jump-start.
Everytime that I went to Osaka, one of the places I always wanted to go back to is this Tempura restaurant. Located on a tiny street in the Sakaisuchi-Hommachi area, a rare find for it’s mainly locals who came to eat here. My first impression of it was how tiny the place was, once you walked in you’d see a long counter top with 10-12 chairs and only a few tables on the opposite side of the room. Once we placed our orders, the chefs came out behind the counter and started to prepare the food at their own leisure. They started to fry the tempura and handed them to us one by one, I guessed the idea of it is so that we could enjoy the flavour and savour the moment of each one that was being prepared for us. I even filmed it so you’ll get to see it in action too!!!
